Anabolic Innovations Sports Nutrition RecoverPro Review ? The ...

The subject of today?s product review is Anabolic Innovations Sports Nutrition RecoverPro. RecoverPro is another BCAA product that flies under the radar on the market today. There are no bells or whistles with this product, but rather what you see is what you get. There are a few artificial sweeteners in the product, but not enough to worry about. Let?s take a look at what makes the product a favorite of mine.

With RecoverPro you get a 4:1:1 ratio of L-Leucine, L-Isoleucine & L-Valine. From many of the studies done, it is said that a 2:1:1 ratio is the ideal ratio, but studies also recommend more L-Leucine in your diet. So, the assumption I am under is that as long as your BCAA product is a minimum of a 2:1:1 ratio, you are golden, and remember, the more Leucine the better.

Let?s take a look at the ingredients on the label. First, you have L-Leucine, which is utilized by the body in the liver and muscle tissue. When used for dietary purposes it can stimulate muscle synthesis (growth). Next is Isoleucine, which may help provide the oxidation of muscle cells, or in simpler terms, it provides large amounts of oxygen to your cells so that they may grow. Valine comes from Valerian Root, which may help relax muscles. BCAAs are very useful for those looking to lose fat and gain lean muscle. Consumption of large amounts of BCAAs may cause the body to retain large amounts of Nitrogen, a process known as Nitrogen Retention. Large amounts of Nitrogen in the body help aid the digestive process and is a natural muscle relaxant.

Next we have Citric Acid, which is used as a flavoring agent for the product. Next we have Acesulfame-K, or Acesulfame-Potassium, which is a calorie free artificial sweetener. Next is Sucralose, and it is a zero-calorie artificial sweetener. Although added in small quantities, it is added to protein supplements that are considered ?bulking? agents and that also include glucose and Maltodextrin. An example of Sucralose is Splenda. Lastly is Quecetin, which is an antioxidant that can reduce the risk of heart disease and certain cancers and improve immune function. Yet it also has physique- and performance-enhancing benefits. Research shows that quercetin dilates blood vessels and can improve muscle endurance.

So as you can see, RecoverPro has some pretty kick-ass ingredients. I think this is one of the best BCAA products on the market today, and at $34 for 125 servings you can?t really beat that deal. My only problem is the serving size for body weight. If you weigh under 160lbs, its one scoop, between 160 and 180lbs its two scoops, and over 180lbs its three scoops. Unfortunately the serving size is not my problem, but as you get past one scoop, the product becomes extremely foamy and does not mix well at all. I weigh over 180lbs so I usually take three scoops at a time so it presents quite the problem for me. If it weren?t for the mixing problems I would have given this product a 10, but because the problems I had mixing it, I will give it an 8/10 overall.
