Next Day Catering Equipment: Professional Tips On Cleaning Your ...

I don't know about you, but I believe in a really clean kitchen. When preparing food for my family, it is nice to know that I am starting in a nice, clean space.

Run your sink full of warm, soapy water.

The first step in getting your kitchen really clean is to pick up all the clutter. My kitchen island is the dumping off place for everything that comes into my house. It drives me crazy, but it's impossible to stop. So, clean up all the clutter, through away anything paper related that you don't need and put everything else away in its proper place.

If you have small appliances on your counter top, clean them off and take them off the counter temporarily. If you have an automatic coffee maker, this is the time to clean it out as well. Run some diluted white vinegar through it and clean the pot really well, I use my dishwasher soap for that.
If you have a self cleaning oven, turn it on and let it work while you are working on cleaning your kitchen, this way, when you are finished, you can wipe out the residue and be done with it. If you do not have a self cleaning oven, I am very sorry for you, but this is the time to spray it down and let it sit while you do other things. If you have cookie sheets or pans that have burned on spills, spray them with the oven cleaner and set them outside to sit a while. They will come really clean and look as good as new.

Now, go through your cabinets and make sure they are straight and organized, wipe down the shelves and get them set up to be user friendly. This means not to stack things on top of the dishes you use most often. It will make your life easier if all the dishes you use most often are accessible to you. Put the dishes that you use less often on the bottom or in the back. If you are lucky enough to have more cabinets than you really need, then you can store the less used dishes there. This is especially true for where you store your pots and pans. We all have pans that we like the most; have them in front or on top so you can get to them.

I use this time to clean out the silverware drawer. I take all the silverware and put it in the dishwasher and then I clean the silverware holder and wipe out the drawer. Then when your dishwasher is done, all your silverware is clean and no clutter there either. It's a good thing.

Now that your dishes and silverware is squared away, look under your kitchen sink and straighten and wipe down, getting rid of any cleaning products that you don't need. As with most things, the one you use most often should be most accessible.

Finally wipe down the counters, sweep and mop the floor, wipe down your clean oven and pans and last of all scrub down the sink that you used to clean everything else with.
Good Job, nice clean kitchen.
